Honestly, I just don't know what to put as the subject of this email because it's a little all over the place sooo... happy October! Also, I feel like I start my emails the same every week... but it's been another great week! I need to be more creative. Oh well.
1. We have had made a lot of progress in both our ward and branch! We have been going through our Less Active lists, and we actually have found some people that are willing to set appointments with us! It's exciting! Of course we've also found some people that weren't super excited to see us, but asi es. We went to a lesson with a man named Jess who came from that list and we brought our Bishop with us. It was great! He's going to come to church with us next next week. Woo!
2. Treva is getting baptized!! I don't know if I've mentioned Treva yet, but Treva is a sweet sweet lady who is caring for her mom full time. Treva has been investigating the church for a while, and she knows it's true, it's just impossible for her to leave her mom so she can't come to church and she doesn't want to be baptized while she can't come to church. But she's been going through some hard times and she's been watching a lot of General Conference talks, and today when we went over to help her move her entertainment center she looked at us and said - "I want to be baptized. When can we do it." So Treva is being baptized on October 20!!! We're so excited!!!! We've been praying for this day for a long time <3
3. Jodi is still doing well! It's a little hard teaching her because she doesn't remember everything super well, but it's fun. She's just the sweetest old lady and has such a good heart. We talked to her on Saturday about the importance of baptism by proper authority, and she understands it. She's praying to know if this is what God wants for her, so pray for Jodi - to remember and to understand!! She came to church already, and she loved it. :)
4. General Conference weekend!! It's weird not being on Temple Square for Conference, I'm feeling a little homesick for Square! I'm excited to watch all the sessions live though! I'm especially looking forward to Women's Conference. I love the opportunity we have to listen to the prophet and apostles speak. I know that we are led by a living prophet of God, and that the things that he will say to us are the same things that Christ would say if He was here Himself. I love Conference. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to listen to a prophets voice.
I love you all! I hope you have a great week! Don't forget to pray :)
